Another day where I stray further from using this site; I really miss OG DeviantART's UI. This notif change makes less sense to me.
This is going to just be another reminder that I'm on Toyhouse more than this disheveled website. It's rudimentary but I'll take that over this diet-soda version of ArtStation.

I've been exhausted of DeviantART and their choices through the years, I've never seen a website regress and utterly self-sabotage like this since Myspace. The recent boasting of revenue dA has made from AI cemented my feelings of how low this website has gone. A desolate platform that once accommdated creative people, and those who even made it into the indsutry, but now falling from any grace and will only be recognized as a shilling website for gentrified pattern-recognition images. Even the once prominent sonic mpreg fetish accounts understood what art is: it's a language and expression. Art isn't a destination, it's a journey, an experience, a facet of individuality of an artist. Art is how I've made my longest and most closest friendships, met my romantic partner, and proudly make it a part of my living. I started here of all places, 12 years ago in 2012 and I drew silly Castle Crasher, Alien v.s. Predator, and Warframe like crazy, this was my central hub for a very long time.
I've been on DeviantART for 12 years, even through eclipse, but platforming people who strip art of its value through manufacturized process for profit and feeling proud of it is where I draw a line. If the art isn't worth making, then it isn't worth looking at.
I won't deactivate my account, but I will cease posting here and placing all my art in storage soon. If you want to continue following me, I have a Twitter, Bluesky, Tumblr, Instagram, etc. I'm literally anywhere but here.
